A correlational study on preservice English teachers' special field competencies and possible selves

This study aimed to determine the relationship between preservice English teachers' special field competencies and their possible selves regarding first year in profession. The study, adopted by quantitative research approach, is an example of a relational screening model. sample consists total 357 teachers studying language teaching department Turkey 2017-2018 academic year. data were collected "English Teacher Special Field Competencies Assessment Scale" "New Possible Selves Questionnaire". Descriptive statistics, Pearson product moment correlation linear regression methods used analyze data.
